Talon reads your newsletters and RSS feeds every morning, searches the web for related articles, writes a conversational script for two podcast hosts, generates audio via Google Cloud TTS, uploads the MP3 to Cloudflare R2, and updates the RSS feed. A full podcast episode, every day, zero manual work.

How it works

  1. Scheduled task triggers at 06:00
  2. Reads email newsletters and RSS feeds for new content
  3. Uses web search to find related articles and context
  4. Writes a natural two-host script with banter, transitions, and takeaways
  5. Calls Google Cloud TTS API to generate audio for each host voice
  6. Merges audio segments into a single MP3
  7. Uploads to Cloudflare R2 via S3-compatible API
  8. Updates the podcast RSS feed with new episode metadata
