Monitoring and Incident Response
Talon watches your logs and metrics. When something breaks, it automatically gathers context: recent deploys, related PRs, relevant runbook entries. Your team gets an actionable incident summary instead of a raw alert — with suggested next steps.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Monitors log streams and metric endpoints via webhooks or polling
- Detects anomalies based on configured thresholds or pattern changes
- On alert: queries recent deployments from GitHub or CI
- Pulls related PRs and recent code changes from the relevant time window
- Searches runbooks and past incident notes for similar issues
- Compiles an incident brief: what happened, what changed, what to try first
- Sends to on-call channel with @mentions
- Tracks incident timeline and resolution for post-mortem reference
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Webhook ingestion or polling schedule (for log and metric streams)
- GitHub MCP (for querying deploys and PRs)
- Scheduling (for polling-based monitoring)
- Memory system (for storing past incident history and runbooks)
- Channel connector (Slack, PagerDuty, or Telegram for on-call alerts)
